Employee Assistance Fund (EAF)
Employee Family Scholarship Application
The Columbia Foundation’s Employee Assistance Fund was established in 2019 to help address critical needs of Club employees facing financial hardship. In 2023, the Foundation expanded employee assistance to include educational support. Due to the generosity of an anonymous Club member, a new initiative called the “Employee Family Scholarship Fund” has been created with the purpose of providing scholarships to employees’ immediate family members, defined as spouses and any children residing in the same household.
This initiative does not establish any entitlement to awards for an employee’s family members, rather they will be made at the sole discretion of the Foundation’s Selection Committee, depending upon the availability of donated funds and the number of scholarship applicants. Also in the sole discretion of the Selection Committee, all applications will be reviewed, determining which qualify and the amount to be awarded for each. The Foundation will then inform all applicants about individual decisions reached and, if approval is granted, the amount of the scholarship awarded.
All applications will remain confidential within the Board of The Columbia Foundation and every effort will be made to protect the privacy and dignity of all those who apply. The goal of the Employee Assistance Fund is to provide timely financial assistance to those who need it most.
The Foundation will not consider incomplete applications. If you need help with your application, please contact Adrianna Serrano at 301-951- 5005 or aserrano@columbiacc.org.
